1. Do you have a dog? For how long? What has kept you going with having a dog?
for me: Yes, I still have a dog now, and in total I've had dogs for about seventeen years. Ever since I can remember, our family has always had dogs. The first dog I had as a child played a humble role in our home. My father or mother never really paid much attention to it. But no matter what, it grew up with me. The earliest sadness I remember came from its unexpected death. In my childhood, dogs played a role in shaping how I saw or understood the world—they were creatures whose existence seemed natural. Even now, it's hard for me to imagine a being that loves you so purely, so I still can't give up having dogs, and I probably will keep having them for a long time.
