Before attending class and lectures, read the syllabus texts beforehand.
Find out the crucial matters, and describe them in simple notes.
Prepare two spaces, one for your notes, one for the notes you take from the classand lecture.
As you listen and watch the lecture and class, jot down what matters.
Back in the dorm, boot up the syllabus questions, and immediately approach them try to answer them, if you just only read the notes you won't sustain memory and understanding.
Once you done these, when you make mind maps it'll be easy to jolt up knowledge from what you have learnt.
Rinse and repeat, until it "kind of becomes your second nature"
Good luck middle school, high school and going away to college!
